Vuorotteluvapaa

Not a new concept...



In Finland, there's a concept called "vuorotteluvapaa" that does exactly this, but targeted at the unemployed and those wanting a sabbatical with 20 years of experience. The job seeker gets essentially a 1 year contract, and the sabbatical seeker is getting a guarantee to return to their job after the period is complete. Also, there's a similar program for maternity/paternity leave.
